Celebrating 27 years’ of fond memories of culture, community, vitality and commerce on Jamaica Avenue. Join us for one day or both days, the first weekend in August, for the Jamaica Arts & Music Summer (JAMS) Festival which attracts upwards of 150,000 +residents and visitors to downtown Jamaica. To celebrate, we begin with a moonlight evening concert called JAMS Under the Stars and continue the next day with an Open-air JAMS Festival on 10 blocks of Jamaica Avenue, (Parsons Blvd. to 170th Streets), closed vehicular traffic to commemorate this historic milestone.
JAMAICA JAMS showcases the diverse cultural talents, foods, arts & crafts of the Borough of Queens, promoting family and Youth centered activities, the work of Collaborative Members, community partners and tourism for Jamaica, Queens.

An evening concert that kicks off the next day festivities, paying homage to the musical icons of Southeast Queens with jazz, R&B, Rock & Funk…in historic green Rufus King Park.

A full day of multi-cultural family fun, shopping, foods, community resources and entertainment. Located on (10) blocks of Jamaica Ave., closed off vehicular traffic.
