Celebrating 29 years’ of fond memories of culture, community, vitality and commerce on Jamaica Avenue. Join us the first weekend in August, one day or both days, for the Jamaica Arts & Music Summer (JAMS) Festival which attracts upwards of 150,000 +residents and visitors to downtown Jamaica. To celebrate, we begin with a moonlight evening concert called JAMS Under the Stars and continue the next day with an Open-air JAMS Festival on 10 blocks of Jamaica Avenue, (Parsons Blvd. to 170th Streets), closed to vehicular traffic to commemorate this historic milestone.
JAMAICA JAMS showcases the vibrant Culture of the Borough of Queens through its diverse talents, foods, fashions and arts, promoting family and Youth centered activities, the Arts, Collaborative Members, Community Partners, Small Business and Tourism for Southeast Queens.
